This year saw leading airport ground support equipment manufacturer Mallaghan enter five relay teams in the Belfast City Marathon in aid two worthy charities; the Niamh Louise Foundation and Charis Cancer Care.
The Niamh Louise Foundation was set up in February 2006 following the death of Niamh McKee who died on 21st November 2005 at the age of just 15. The charity provides prevention by raising awareness of suicide through various sources of literature and training workshops on suicide and self-harm.
Charis Cancer Care is a local charity based in Cookstown which provides support to men and women affected by cancer at every stage of their journey. The charity also assists and supports the families and supporters of those living with cancer or any family member bereaved by cancer.
The relay teams were made up of 25 staff members across all areas of the business ,with each and every runner helping to raise an amazing £3,716 for these very worthy causes.
Congratulations to all those who took part along with everyone who made a donation – your efforts are greatly appreciated.
