Assembly Fitter

Role Description
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working in a team based environment working on a busy assembly line manufacturing ground support equipment.
  • Operating power and manual tools,
  • Reading engineering drawings and producing high quality products to exact specifications.
  • working to set production targets and will need to have the ability to safely move production parts
  • Maintain a clean and tidy works area
  • Ensure that all works carried out comply with the ISO 9001 and Health and Safety standards.

Job Specification – Skills, qualities & attributes required for the post

Essential (E) or Desirable (D)

  • At least 1-2 years working in production/Assembly department (E)
  • Must have knowledge of various types of steel (E)
  • Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings (E)
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a demanding role and use initiative (E)
  • Must be able to work on their own or as part of a team (E)
  • Forklift license (D)

GRP Operative

Overview and Purpose of Role

As an important member of the GRP team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all components are fabricated accurately and timely to ensure products meet the build schedule and despatch deadline. This position will also involve woodwork assembly, basic joinery work and working to basic drawings

Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings
  • Working with hand and power tools, panel saws etc
  • Working to set production targets
  • Ability to safely move production parts
  • Carry out routine maintenance and calibration of machines
  • Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies & Procedures.
  • Any other duties as required by management to suit business needs.
  • Adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality management system.
  • Adherence to company health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy works area

ESSENTIAL

  • Previous experience working in a joinery workshop.
  • Will have a sound joinery background and experience of working with hand and power tools, panel saws etc
  • Have experience of working with other tradesmen and will have a good general joinery background
  • Has proven literacy and numeracy skills
  • Communication – Able to communicate problems/issues at all team members
  • Initiative – Ability to work on their own or as part of their team
  • Versatility/Adaptability – Ability to adjust to change e.g. job machine/process
  • Problem Solving – Ability to fault find, trouble shoot, diagnose and resolve issues
  • Quality – Comply with quality regulations & standards, attention to detail
  • Available to work flexible hours when required with notice

DESIRABLE

  • Has previous experience in similar role within a manufacturing industry
  • Clean current driving license

Electrical Fitter

Overview and Purpose of Role

Working as part of the electrical production team, you will be responsible for the fault finding and diagnostics and wiring of our ground support equipment including our EV (Electric Vehicles) on the factory production lines.

Role Description
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble a variety of different components in the Finishing end of production according to customer specification.
  • Experience in AC/DC electrics, pneumatics, hydraulics.
  • Quality check your own work and that of colleagues.
  • Experience using hand, air and electric tools to complete tasks.
  • Working on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Liaise on an on-going basis with Supervisors, Managers, and team members.
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Any other duties as required by the production manager to suit business needs.
  • Adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality management system.
  • Adherence to company health and safety procedures.

Role Requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience in fitting, assembly, manufacturing, engineering, mechanics.
  • Experience of handheld tools
  • Ability to assemble consistently to a high standard.
  • Able to trouble shoot and solve problems.

Desirable

  • Ideally you will have knowledge of mains AC and automotive DC electrical and hydraulic schematics and significant experience of electrical fault finding and diagnostics within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Ground Support Equipment would be advantageous as well as hydraulic pumps and valves.

Electrical Technician

Overview and Purpose of Role

Working as part of the electrical production team, you will be responsible for the fault finding and diagnostics and wiring of our ground support equipment including our EV (Electric Vehicles) on the factory production lines. Programming and product software uploading and testing. Sign off of electrical installation and liaise with customers when carrying out PDI checks and Testing.

  • Wiring of production plants on the assembly lines assisting with the fitting of electrical systems trouble shooting software problems and electrical faults.
  • Cataloguing and analysing system non-performances.
  • Ensure all paperwork is up to date, completed and filed.
  • Actively minimise plant downtime in support of production by responding quickly to production line breakdown situations when required.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Involved in driving product and supplier electrical quality improvement.
  • Liaise on an on-going basis with Supervisors, Managers, and team members
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Any other duties as required by the production manager to suit business needs.
  • Adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality management system.
  • Adherence to company health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy works area.

Role Requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

  • A Third Level Electrical Engineering Qualification or Vocational Time Served Electrical Qualification.
  • Experience of 3-phase AC and 12-24VDC electrical control systems
  • Ability to read, understand electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Experience of electric system installation and wiring on plant equipment in a high-volume production environment
  • A full driving license.

Desirable

  • Ideally you will have knowledge of mains AC and automotive DC electrical and hydraulic schematics and significant experience of electrical fault finding and diagnostics within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Ground Support Equipment would be advantageous as well as hydraulic pumps and valves.
  • Experience in electrical drawing packages i.e. Auto Cad, Cleo, Solid works electrical, Eplan. Ability to change/update where required.
